5 Questions for Obed

Senior Partner Success Specialist

Question 1: What’s your Action Network origin story?

I started working at Action Network in 2019 right out of college. I’d done student organizing in undergrad and wanted to be involved in supporting awesome organizations doing great work. I knew nothing about tech or emails or how formal campaigns worked, so I learned a lot on the job.

Question 2: What is your favorite thing about working at Action Network?

I like the people that I work with. They have all taught me so much and continue to give me a bunch of new opportunities to learn new things. I can stick my hand in different buckets and see what feels good. I have a lot of room to grow and learn.

Question 3: How would you describe what you do to your friends and family?

I help nonprofits and progressive campaigns make sure their digital and email programs can actually work right. I help make sure their emails end up in inboxes and avoid spam folders.

Question 4: What sea creature does the original Action Network logo look most like?

Today it looks like a millipede but it used to look like a god of octopuses dancing in a circle.

Question 5: In which order did you see Barbie and Oppenheimer?

I saw Barbie first, and Oppenheimer second, which I would not recommend as it was a depressing end to the weekend.
