5 Questions for Jennifer

Senior Partner Success Specialist

Question 1: What’s your Action Network origin story?

I’ve moved around a bunch in my career — politics, higher education, nonprofit community organizing, union organizing, data analysis. Most recently before coming to Action Network, I worked at the American Federation of Teachers on the campaign data team, which is where I started using Action Builder with affiliates. It’s such a cool product that I wish I had when I was an organizer, I jumped at the opportunity to get more involved.

Question 2: What is your favorite thing about working at Action Network?

My favorite part of my job is hearing about all the exciting things that our Partners are doing on the ground. I get to help them customize their Action Builder instance or Action Network group so they can capture everything that’s happening in the real world and make better strategic decisions. It’s pretty neat to be even a small part of it, and I love hearing from folks working on a wide range of ways to make the world a better place.

Question 3: How would you describe what you do to your friends and family?

I help unions, nonprofits, and progressive political candidates learn how to use technology tools to organize their data and keep track of their work.

Question 4: What sea creature does the original Action Network logo look most like?

Blue button jellyfish

Question 5: What genre of movies do you enjoy watching?

I’m a big fan of silly action comedies that don’t take themselves too seriously. Also underdog sports movies that always make me cry.
